Do you have to be a computer genious to customize your blog skin?
I'm bored with mine, and with all the other cookie cutter skins. I want to use my creative nature and make mine more mine. But, well, what the hell is the html code for: I want a better look? And what exactly is html? How do I do this? Where do I begin?
Suggestions please.

I thought the same thing when I changed mine. I am pretty low tech so it was waaaAAAAaaaaay over my head. Everything I tried looked like a Kindergartener put it together.
But if you decide to go with a template, there is a really good free site....I'll have to find the url and leave it for you. Also where I found mine is under the credits at my place. It's easy to install and pretty easy to tinker around with.
Hmmmm. I have NO clue how to do it. I really love those circular bubbles in a cookie cutter skin. Since plain Jane needs her beige background, I can't switch to it as much as I like it! ;)
Here's a link to some blog skins that you might like: http://blogspottemplates.blogspot.com/ Also, there is a website www.htmlgoodies.com that is very "beginner" friendly. I learned alot from it and I just started learning about html when I started my blog. It can be time-consuming. Also, when you first log into blogger, if you will go down a little and to the right, you can click on "blogger help". There is alot of helpful information there, too. I hope this helps! :-)
Ya got me. I learned how to link from the htmlgoodies site that Jewel mentioned. I'm so bored with the look of my blog! I also have a website that for $200 bucks they'll do anything you want. I'm so bored with mine, I might just do that. Yeah, I could probably figure it out myself, but I can only imagine how bad I'll screw it up before I get it to halfway of waht I want.
You can also use a site called blogrolling.com. I use them for my 'links' and it was pretty easy to navigate and free. =-)
I got this great book that really helped a lot.
HTML for Dummies :)
also google "blog skins" - there are a lot of ready made ones out there
but if you want to learn HTML - that book is great for non computer savvy people
:)
forget the skins...you need to UPDATE!
Thanks everyone for your tips and sites. I've checked out many of them and decided that my technical abilites are lacking, and it would take too much freakin' time right now (of which I don't have much to spare!) to do what I'd like.
That being said, Ms. Thursday is correct, I am very overdue for a post, so I promise to offer one up within the next couple of days. School is once again kicking my hind-end, and my energy is sapped.
