Farmer's Market: A Photographic Exploration

Reasons I love the farmer's market:

Local berries taste WAY better than the ones shipped across the country, AND purchasing them supports local farmers, AND it's a more ecologically sound purchase as the fuel required to ship the berries across country is ridiculous.

People at the farmer's market are HAPPY. There's a permeating feeling of community and overall pleasantness.

Mmmmm lettuce

What could be more visually pleasing than buckets and buckets of flowers?!

Pink lillies...pretty

It's so colorful!

It's something I share with my step-daughter. She loves accompanying me to the farmer's market. It's a little thing we do, just the two of us. She's the one who pointed out what a cool picture this would be.

This one's my favorite.

Hmmmm. I like the blueberry shot, but I think that your stepdaughter's pick is my fave. All of them are beautiful, though. You captured the simple down to earth fun of the market to a T

Thanks! It was actually a lot of fun, but juggling between pulling out my camera and carrying the things I purchased was a struggle.

I love those pictures - and I love fresh farmer's markets. But I gotta say...I have never seen a sign that said anything close to "biological" before. Does it mean organic?

I think 90% of the experience of the visit is sensory. Only 10% is what you actually take home and cook. :)

Great pictures! The flowers are my favorite.

Ooops. Did I get that wrong? I meant "biologic".

Steph-When I asked what 'biologic' meant the girl told me they use no sprays of any kind. At the time I didn't think to inquire what the difference between that and organic is but I will if I see that sign again.

I love your new picture, skinny little thing.
And BTW...ummm...not that I don't love laughing about the "Biologic" sign when I visit your site, but, well, the truth is...I've seen it. So can you like...post something new for me to read? I mean, it is all about me, isn't it?
So...yeah. That would be great.
Thanks.

Steph, Okay, point taken. I'll try to post soon. Maybe a little diddy that I wrote about my cat.
